Modern London: Pic #2

London is not all about history and old buildings. It's also about the future.

Learn something from the past to make a better life in the future.

Amen.

Stunning London photo, is it possible to use it for an undergraduate prospectus that I'm designing for the University of East London. It has a 60,0000 print run and I'll make sure that you're credited and posted several copies once printed next week?

Peace

Dan

hallo bung andre... kalo gak salah photo ini gue pernah liat di buku Digital Photography deh??? same angle cuman photonya di Zooming aja, jadi bagian ngajarin kita pake menu filter zooming. bukunya keluaran AVA... anyway, gue suka bgt komposisinya yang ngasih dimensi luas. dan warnanya juga pas... selamat, ini tob abis!

at dA there are far too many photos of escalators. but this one really stands out as being different for me. the balance of curves and straight, hard lines is so sublime. good job on not overexposing towards the very top where the sky can be seen through the windows. there's a really nice leading line from the top left corner to the bottom right. i really also enjoy the fact that you have people in your shot. this gives this a lot of movement and vibrancy. the lighting is perfect with all the shadows it's casting. :)

Canary wharf is the bling frigging bling. I tried to take some shots there once but they sucked horse penis.

This one does not. This one is nice. Not as sharp as i'd like (because of the noise I think?). but great nontheless.

the architecture is splendid, but it seems somehow familiar to me although I've never visited London. Was any part of 28 Days Later shot there?

Well, it's not easy choosing a piece for +fav from your gallery... but this one is just awesome. I love how the people are just shadows, and how grand this place is, and how well you've captured the futuristic effect.

Holy sh*t. How did I miss this place when I went to London?! I guess 3 days wasn't long enough :( Next time I will definitely check this tube station out, but I doubt I'll be able to capture it the way you did. Everything works: the lighting, colours, shadows, and the people. Love it. +fav

Awesome capture! I like how some people you can get some definition of the facial features, while others are completely black. Good job!

world of the future maybe... this definitely looks futuristic. the light sepia tone really adds a lot to this shot. the dome looks to me like a spaceship and it really adds to the futuristic, ultra modern vibe that is so apparent in this shot.

by the way... i really like the way all the figures are backlit... makes them more anonymous and brings out another essence of futurism into this shot.

several pictures of this have been posted, and each one intrigues me to no end. very contemporary yet in the comforting sense. this location appears to have a sense of style and comfort in its utility.

nicely done.

This is a really great shot... The way you've positioned the camera really gives a good idea of how vast the space is... This shot is also good because a simple glance gives a great image, as does if you stop to look at all the details... It has so many nice lines, great lighting and a complimetary colour range... Excellent work!!

to me, i see this becoming an awesome abstract painting. It would have that beautiful archway using the stone color of the arch, and then it would have beams coming from it for the escalator in some sort of dark grey.... and then it would have specks for the human figures... and then it would all blend... awesome.

i reallylike the shapes, angles and patterns in this shot... and the lighting too. very nice shot.

Amazing form, that curved ceiling is what makes this shot.
The colors are light, too, something I notice a lot of in your gallery, and the black figures give this edgy contrast to the whole thing.
Wonderful!
